Terms of Service

Platypus Power Washing is operated by Matthew Nelligan LLC, a Virginia limited liability company providing exterior cleaning and seasonal holiday lighting services in Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, Goochland, and Powhatan counties. By requesting a quote, booking a service, or communicating with us, you agree to these terms.

What we send: When you provide your phone number through our website, a quote request form, a Facebook or Google lead form, or by texting or calling us, you agree to receive text messages from Platypus Power Washing. Messages may include quote and estimate delivery, appointment scheduling and confirmations, arrival and service updates, invoices and payment links, follow-up on open quotes, and occasional seasonal service reminders or offers.

Message frequency: Frequency varies based on your interaction with us. Most customers receive a few messages per service and occasional seasonal messages. You will not receive more than 10 messages per month unless you are actively texting with us.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier charges from your mobile provider may apply to messages you send and receive. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further promotional messages will be sent. You may still receive transactional messages related to a service you have booked, such as appointment confirmations or invoices, unless you ask us to stop those as well.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can request a quote or book a service without agreeing to receive text messages by calling us directly.

Privacy: Your phone number and consent to receive messages will not be shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Quotes are based on information you provide and, where applicable, satellite imagery and photos. Final pricing may be adjusted if site conditions differ materially from what was quoted. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Some services require a deposit to reserve a date. Deposits are applied to the final invoice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may forfeit the deposit. Weather-dependent services may be rescheduled at our discretion for safety and quality.

Payment is due upon completion unless other terms are stated on your quote. We accept credit and debit cards, bank transfer, cash, and check.

We use industry-standard methods and products appropriate to each surface. We are insured. If you are not satisfied with a completed service, contact us within 7 days and we will make it right.

Holiday lighting is provided on a seasonal lease basis. Lights, clips, timers, and other materials remain the property of Platypus Power Washing and are removed at the end of the season. The customer agrees not to remove, relocate, or modify installed materials. Damage caused by the customer or third parties may be billed at replacement cost.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at platypuspowerwashing.com/terms.
